Wera 7443 4.0 - 8.8 Nm Adjustable Torque Pistol Grip Screwdriver

Wera Series 7400 Kraftform Adjustable Torque Screwdriver set is designed for torque controlled tightening to guarantee the safety of the screw connection. Torque can easily be set to the required scale value by hand without special tools. Measurement accuracy is +/- 6% in accordance with standard EN ISO 6789. Wera torque tools have unlimited loosening torque to loosen seized screws. All Wera hand tools feature the trademarked ergonomic Kraftform handle, with hard and soft zones, that fits the shape to the hand for the ultimate in comfort and high-speed torque transfer. Adjustable torque screwdrivers feature the Rapidaptor bitholder with quick-release chuck that allows for speedy one-handed bit insertion and removal for insert and power bits. Range 4.0 - 8.8 Nm.

    The things I like about this tool are: - the bits are locked in, not held by a magnet - good range, 4 - 8.8nm is a wider range than similar products Things that could be better: - no-tool adjustment, as in adjustable by hand without a tool - the angle of the handle is awkward and it feels like the bit wants to cam-out of the fastener, a T-Handle would be preferable. This is kind of a big deal. - a ratcheting mechanism, could be added as part of a T-Handle in a redesign Still the best option for a tool like this that I have found but not as good as I had expected.

    I was looking for a t-handle torque with this range, but couldn't find pone, so I bought the wera pistol grip. It's a nice screwdriver and does the job for what I need it to do: working on my bike and for my car equipment rack. The only sort of issue is that the wrench makes it seem like you could use it to hook a lanyard or something on it, but it doesn't double for that function. At least I wouldn't use it to hook it on.

    Another solid product from Wera. Easy to adjust the torque value with the included tool that stores in the handle. Incredibly smooth action with a loud positive click when the torque limit has been reached. Only thing that would make this perfect would be if this also had a ratchet feature.

    I am presently building two bicycles. The Wera 4.0 - 8.8 Nm Adjustable Torque Pistol Grip Screwdriver provided the best torque range of the tools I considered to tighten fasteners on the bikes. The torque settings on the tool are easy to read. When the torque value is reached, you hear and feel a loud positive click. This is a nice feature since some torque wrenches provide a vague indication when you reach the required torque. You adjust the torque setting on the screwdriver with a special included wrench which stores in the screwdriver handle
