    Big excitement, a little disappointed

    First off I'm a huge fan of KC tools! Love you guys! As far as the set goes.. I found the handles on the screwdriver set to be kind of cheap feeling. Very slick plastic feel to them. Everything else on drivers great! Pliers again a bit of let down as they don't lock closed. I don't understand why they did this but they seem to have designed pliers to lock partially open. This makes no sense as you want pliers to lock in closed position to make them easy to get in and out of bag and protect cutting surfaces. Packing and tool holder great. Shipping great! Stickers rock! Even a free bit was awesome. Overall being a single father of 2.. money isn't easy to come by. I have to provide tools for my job and like working with good tools. This was a large purchase and one I would not have made knowing of the issues I mentioned. I won't return but felt this was important to share. I would love to know why they chose to make the pliers not lock in closed position for sure!

    The screwdrivers fit together well and actually fit tight into hardware so there is little to no slippage. Handles are comfortable and it is nice having two handles, facilitates swapping between tools without having to always change heads.

    The photo doesn't really do justice as to how large the set and especially the pliers actually are; they are basically narrow jaw linemans. I generally don't like 'do everything' style pliers but these are really very nice, just like nearly all of Knipex pliers. It is a little awkward getting them in and out of the loops. If all you have is this set for doing electrical work you would probably find some shortcomings but if you intend to pack this in addition to others, the real value is how much you can fit in your bag.
