Stahlwille torque products are subject to a separate warranty that has guidelines and regulations on repair labs that have been authorized by Stahlwille to perform service and calibration. The warranty for both torque and non-torque products is void if the tool is tampered with, abused, or used in a manner that is not intended by the manufacturer (i.e. using chrome sockets on an impact gun).

    I bought this for use on sundry round and odd-shaped fittings such as pipes, oil filters, and pickle jars. I noticed that, as with most good tools, you can purchase replacement parts for it. The strap is a rubber material that offers good grip in the direction of rotation for the wrench. The strap passes through a loop on the wrench, and it is held in place by friction when using the wrench--no buckle or locking mechanism here. This will work great on those round objects that otherwise have no easy way to unscrew. I am not sure how the replacement strap will be installed should I ever need to do that. I don't see an obvious fastener or bolt head on either side, so maybe the replacement part would come with instructions. Overall, this is a great product, and I'd recommend it for anybody needing an adjustable strap wrench.

    I thought it was leather. I'm not sure what this material is. Works fine anyway. Wouldn't recommend for use as a tourniquet.
