    Pretty good pliers

Posted by Nicholas DeGirolamo on Apr 23rd 2018

Every electrician needs a good pair of diagonal cutting pliers, and this pair is good. I'm impressed with the way they cut, and the feel of the grips. They are a little bulky, and the power button likes to engage, disengage, or lock up while sitting in my pouch. The increased power function is nice, but the jaws don't open wide enough to cut larger size wire, or mc cable. It does cut 12 gauge steal jack chain like butter, so inspite of it's downsides these pliers are a nice addition to my toolbag.

    Great!

These cutters are incredible. They cut through just about anything without much effort. Love the dual power modes and the grip feels great.

Great cutters but, the button not so much.

Posted by Jason M on Aug 12th 2017

The cutter blades a nice and sharp. So much so that you can cut paper with them which is a good thing for my job because, I use 22ga wire regularly. The down side to these cutters is....... First the button is horrible. I can't keep these in my tool pouch because it presses the button just a little bit and it locks them closed. I then have to adjust them with one hand while pressing the button with the other to get them to unlock. Second is the finger choil at the top of the grip. They are a little wide and it does not allow the cutter to sit down far enough into my pouch to secure them. If you do not require to extra cutting power, get the cutters without the button. I had to switch back to my NWS cutters for now.

The quality and craftsmanship of these cutters are nothing but superb. And the price being on sale, makes it a wonderful purchase.

    Best cutters I've ever used

Posted by Davie Osbun on Aug 4th 2016

This is probably my second most used tool on race weekend. We probably go through a large pack of zip ties every month when traveling to races. I was tired of my old (and well-used) cutters that were no longer smooth. Bought these on sale and they are perfect. Smooth to use and cuts with ease. The handles are comfortable even after cutting 50 straight ties, and the high-torque feature works!! Whomever thought of this idea is a genius.....

    Very disappointed with these cutters!

Posted by Phil C. on Jul 14th 2016

I purchased two pairs of these last Christmas. One for me, the other for a co-worker. I waited until now to write my review. I started using them right away. From the beginning I had problems with that "button" function. Every time I pulled them out of my pouch they seemed to be stuck in the middle, between the two functions. When the button is in the middle you can't even open them up. After using them for a while I threw them in my tool bag. This past week (7/14/2016) I figured I'd give them another shot. What a let down, still sticking between functions and they weren't cutting well at all. II checked the blades and one side looks worn down! I hardly used them! I won't be using them again. Im not putting them back in my tool bag. They are now a spare pair of "around the house" cutters. My co-worker has had the same experience. Maybe I purchased two lemons? -

Easy trimming of wire, wire shelves, small bolts,

Posted by Jim on Mar 10th 2016

I have already tested the edge strength of these, and they have not chipped or flinched. 1/4 -20 bolts were no problem. Obviously they cut through copper like butter. - - The mechanical advantage option makes these a primary set of cutters that can handle 20 gauge wire, 12- gauge Romex, or trim BX cable ends. - - I really like the fact that they are only marginally larger than the side cutters I normally carry, but are much more capable for bigger stuff when I need it.
