Regret buying this for two reasons. First, It's much bigger than i imagined it would be. Should show it next to a ruler or next to the smaller hexes. I felt unintentionally deceived. Second, the plastic holder is way, way, way, too small for these hex wrenches. I have to use pliers or brace against table to extract these hexes from the way undersized plastic holder. And then, as i mentioned, they're too large for my application. I recommend taking these off the market. Thank you,ed smith 816 373 5563

When only the best will get the job done

I have a high-end electric bicycle with an end cap piece with four 4 mm hex bolts holding the high-rise handlebar to the stem. It's way too easy to exert too much torque on the handlebar and twist the handlebar in the stem, creating very unsafe riding conditions and possibly a striped handlebar if it isn't fixed soon. I tried several of the finest American-made hex keys and noticed how easily they twisted out of the hex bolt when torque was applied. I had never heard of Wera hex keys or KC Tools but I searched until I found KC Tools and their wonderful German tool inventory. KC Tools kindly answered my email questions promptly. I did independent research elsewhere on the Internet until I was satisfied that Wera tools were second to none. Also, I needed a 4 mm key with a minimum arm length of 140 mm so I could apply some real torque. While using the Wera tool, it did not slip or twist out of the 4 mm hex bolt heads--they were new bolts. So, I was able to torque down the handlebar end cap adequately, and it is fixed in place now. When I tried this simple repair with the three sets of finest American-made hex keys I have; those 4 mm keys twisted out of the bolt head and chamferred the bolt head. Cheap tools are not worth it. I have used Eklind, Tektron, Bondhus, and the Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart stuff, and they all went into the waste basket or were given away. My Wera hex tools will stay with me for life.
