    It’s a review, duh

    Very happy with this purchase. NWS makes outstanding tools, and this is no exception. 165mm is the perfect size for indoor DIY work. I have another this size in VDE for my electrical bag an another, at 205mm for outdoor use. The only quibble I have is that is arrived very stiff. I drenched it in machine oil, which made black ooze squish out of the riveted joint. Manufacturing left-over? Eventually that stopped, and it got a bit looser. Still, why should this happen, given the NWS quality reputation. Again, I’m very happy, in total, and will definitely buy more NWS.

    Great performance, so-so quality control

    I love the handles and the cutters, the jaw design is also very unique and effective. Finish seems like it will hold up well. However, mine came with some pretty significant burrs on the cutters that needed removing (one was so big I was able to get it with my fingernail). These were probably left over from the chroming process. Also had the gritty black discharge from the joint that had to be cleaned up. I ordered the 8" version of these too and those didn't have those problems.
